What’s up, everyone, I’m Sam Goodman, I am a sophomore majoring in Sports Journalism with a minor in digital audiences. I’m from Detroit, Michigan but have lived out in Arizona since moving to go to ASU.

 

I was always planning to attend ASU because I knew the Cronkite school was the right program for me and when I toured I got a full sense of life at ASU and knew it was where I wanted to be. Truly, this has been one of the best decisions of my life.

 

I came to ASU knowing only one person, who ended up rushing AEPi with me. It was a scary experience, moving across the country, basically alone. I never planned on rushing, but that need to find a community led me to AEPi. I talked to multiple different fraternities but I never felt that sense of home anywhere else. AEPi has a unique experience with brotherhood that is stronger than any on campus. I got my bid early in rush week and haven’t looked back since. The brothers in this fraternity have been such positive impacts to both pursue roles within the fraternity and outside of it. Since joining AEPi I’ve been a member of Rush Committee, the Rush Media Chair and now the Rush Chair. I’ve also pursued roles within my field, working for Arizona PBS, Arizona CW and the Cronkite Sports Network.

 

Without a doubt in my mind, there is not a fraternity campus with a better balance of social life, academic success and brotherhood than AEPi. If you are a person with ambition, who wants success and a community that will nurture that, AEPi is the perfect place for you.
